Civicon has an exciting heritage in engineering and construction, having completed high-end and highly desired turnkey engineering projects, which have become part of the critical infrastructure of Eastern African region. 
With headquarters in Mombasa, Kenya and operations/project spread across the region, the company is expanding and looking for candidates who can contribute to the ambitious growth plans for the near future.
 
1. Project Engineers
 
We are seeking persons who feel at home in our international culture and can relate to the dynamic and creative nature of our business; individuals who can work as Project Engineers to be based in Sites around the region, of which the immediate opportunities are in Eastern DRC.
 
The Project Engineer will be responsible for establishment and management of (1) Site resources & infrastructure (2) workforce capable of working in a safe and diligent manner.
 
He/she will oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done, safely on time and within budget and to the right quality standards
 
Eligible candidates should have track record in execution of turnkey engineering projects, in
addition to:
-
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline);
  • Five (5) — ten (10) years relevant engineering/site project Management experience, three (3) of which should be at senior management level.
  • Initiative and pro-active attitude with a drive to get a work done;
  • Proven ability to build, lead and manage engineering and construction teams.
2. Graduate Engineer Trainees
 
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee we assure you that you will benefit from authentic experiences designed to accelerate your career development. 
You will build your engineering expertise and knowledge by completing 18 to 24 months program within Civicon’s Construction & Engineering Division as well as getting an overview of the company’s business in general. 
As a Graduate Engineer, your challenge will be to understand the intricacies of the turnkey projects from an engineering perspective and in particular the Civicon way.
 
We are looking for candidates who graduated in the last 18 months with First Class degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Those who obtained a strong 2nd Upper Division in Engineering will also be considered. 
Additional requirements include being tenacious, enthusiastic, results driven with excellent conceptual and analytical skills. 
Relevant work experience will be an added advantage.
