Clerk of Works - Building & Civil Works 

(28 - Month Contract)
 

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Project Manager, the job holder will undertake field construction supervision.
 

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervision of the Isiolo Passenger Terminal Building, Offices and Parking to ensure implementation as per the bills of quantities, set work plan and standards
• Collection of field data for analysis
• Assist in drafting preliminary drawings towards detailed design for various aspects of the project
• Assist in preparation of draft tender specifications and scope of works as may be assigned, for appointment of Nominated Sub-contractors
• Liaise with Project Manager and Engineers on preparation of project progress reports to track project status
• Provide secretarial services during site meetings and maintain records of the same.
• Maintain project documents for record and further action
• Ensures the maintenance and improvement of KAA QMS

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in major building and civil engineering works as a Clerk of Works
• Knowledge and application of architectural and engineering software, including ArchiCAD and/or AutoCAD; knowledge of both will be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge and application of MS Office and Excel is a must
