We are a multinational company operating in the Agribusiness industry. 

We are looking for self-driven confident individuals to fill the following vacant position:

Key Account Manager – Seed Care (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Zimbabwe)

 
Reporting to the Key Account Manager – Seed Care – Europe, Africa and Middle East, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the customer relationships for leading Seed Care key account customers (3rd party) within Kenya and East Africa, developing customized offers that respond to their business needs and supporting a successful and sustainable business partnership.

Location: This position will be located in Nairobi with regular visits across the assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with 3rd party Seed Companies that have commercial activities in Kenya and assigned regions
  • Create and execute Key Account plans and campaigns aligned with regional Key Account plans/campaigns
  • Create/monitor joint development programs with accounts to further enhance the competitive position of key accounts in the market
  • Monitor seed market environment and trends and provide input into crop portfolio strategies
  • Coordinate main activities with the key accounts including contracts, stewardship, services etc.
  • Jointly with Regional Key Accounts implement pricing strategies, commercial contract, service strategy
  • Plan and monitor the Key Accounts supply situation
  • Oversee additional seed care resources to be deployed in the territory
The Candidate

The right fit for this job will possess:
  • A Degree in Agriculture from a recognized University or equivalent
  • Over 3 years of experience in a commercial seed industry with demonstrated experience in building trust as an expert contact point
  • Over 3 years of sales specific experience with expertise in negotiating complex multi-year contracts
  • Cross boarder experience managing key accounts is mandatory
They will be customer focused, pro-active, able to manage multiple cross-functional projects/programs, great in influence and good negotiators. 

They will be proficient communicators with good presentation skills and be able to work well in a team. 

They will also be able to work under minimum supervision and ready to travel within their region of responsibility.
