OUPEA is seeking to recruit a high calibre, results-oriented, experienced and highly skilled professional for the position ofHumanities Editor.
Summary of the position: This is a position responsible for project managing a strong list of market-oriented Humanities titles for schools.

Key responsibilities

The Humanities Editor will provide leadership in developing comprehensive, high quality educational materials for both learners and teachers to appropriate markets. 


The Humanities Editor will also conduct market research and incorporate findings into new and existing products.

In addition, the Editor will build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

The position requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education with a major in History, combined with at least 2 years’ relevant teaching or editorial experience.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, should have good organizational skills, and should be able to work independently and in a group.

In addition, the individual must demonstrate a thorough understanding and knowledge of the dynamics of the education systems and markets in East Africa.
