Web Content Editor Job in Kenya

Teqwall Technologies is looking for a Web Content Editor to join its Editorial Team. 

The Web Content Editor will be responsible for content management for the assignee subscription websites.  

Primary responsibilities will include maintaining and developing content through creative writing and/or editing of copy, coordination of content, links, and interactive materials such as polls and forums.  

Responsibilities:

• Create and update web content,
• Respond quickly to priority reporting situations with strict daily story deadlines.
• Monitor news for relevant markets for priority legal developments and general awareness; proactively update pages where necessary.
• Write in a variety of formats, including news and feature stories, briefs and reports, blogs, etc. that appeal to Teqwall audience.
• Write and edit online copy for clarity, grammatical correctness, and consistency with Teqwall style guides.
• Help develop new Web pages and sites, incorporating best practices in B2B web publishing, usability, search-engine optimization, transactional paradigms and content management.
• Monitor, analyze and create reports on Web sites’ metrics,
• Assist with SEO campaigns, measurement of site traffic, and other essential web analytics.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with web content management
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading experience
• Familiarity with Human Resources/Employment Law a plus
• Self-motivated with high level of initiative
• Highly organized with ability to multi task, meet daily/weekly/monthly/annual deadlines, and handle multiple projects
• Familiarity with technology and Web-related applications and programs.
• HTML experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or equivalent experience
