Our client is a private oil marketing company in Kenya with over 20 years in operation. It invests primarily in petroleum imports and exports, bulk trading, petroleum depots, distribution and service stations.
 

They seek to hire a Project / Product Development Manager whose main role is to manage new projects/products and manage product development team

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the product development process from the concept phase to the launch phase.
• Involvement in new product concept brainstorming meetings
• Maintain and update a Project master roll
• Take part in the approval of the final product
• Guarantee deadlines are met regarding new projects.
• Work with quality control to ensure strict adherence of projects/products to regulatory framework
• Manages and coordinates product development projects.
• Ensures that labeling and marketing/promotional materials match product specifications
• Researches and monitors existing client base and industry developments and identifies potential new product opportunities.
• Manages project budgets and prepares financial analysis reports for top management.
• Write and design criteria for monitoring project projects
• Ensure proper documentation of new projects.
• Regular reporting to top management 

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Technical Courses
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience in managing new projects or product development in a company. Familiar with product development concepts, practices, and procedures
• Leads and directs the work of others in the department
• A wide degree of creativity is expected.
• Polished and presentable individual
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player and able to work with minimal supervision
• Flexible and good planning and organization skills
• Good time management skills
