Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Executive primary objective is to deliver a sustained competitive edge of our brands (Spez Ltd and The Missing Slice) at the point of purchase for customers assigned to him/her. The Executive will play an integral role in using a team approach across all functional areas to develop further business results and secure profitable growth per assigned category and per customer.

Job Description
  • Maximize Sales revenue through the development and allocation of sales targets and the monitoring of sales performance against the sales targets. This will be done in close consultation with the General Manager
  • Establish, manage and maintain positive commercial relationships with agencies, event planners and both corporate and private clients directly in order to generate income and profits for the department
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is the key driver for all sales initiatives and strategies
  • Ensure a high level of exposure both within the corporate and private client sector through direct sales solicitation, telephone contacts and written communications
  • Responsible for all accounts under your management
  • To achieve daily targeted level of telemarketing calls (10 telephone calls per day is the minimum standard)
  • Promoting Spez products actively in the target market and maximizing on upselling opportunities for the TMS
  • Analyze client needs and offer appropriate products and services
  • Responsible for distributing statement of accounts to both the client and accounts department; necessary follow up and collection of payments due from the clients as per their credit terms with proof of receipt
  • Actively add additional business to assigned client portfolios
  • Display creativity in submitting tailored promotional marketing activities
  • Provide input in menu decisions with the assistance of the Head Chef
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative
  • Identify, qualify and solicit new catering business to achieve monthly revenue goals
  • Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on corporate business and negotiate contracts
  • Work with the General Manager to create and implement a catering sales plan addressing revenue, customers and market
  • Maximize revenue by up-selling packages and creative food and beverage offerings
  • Assist with selling, implementation and follow-through of catering promotions
  • Understands the overall market (e.g., competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) in order to sell effectively against the competition
  • Communicates trends, opportunities, and market changes to appropriate parties, as needed
  • Preparing sales contract terms as per clients’ needs and discussing the same to customer’s satisfaction after necessary approval
  • Preparing accurate and timely quotations as per the client’s needs
  • Market the brand and the Company's experience to increase Good will in the Industry
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs

Qualifications and Experience
  • Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality/ Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum 2-3 Years catering/events/hospitality/ sales experience with an excellent track record
  • Computer literacy – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
  • Must be entrepreneurship focused and able to work closely with a young SME aiming at attainment of success of the company
  • Business-to-business sales experience through which the following key success factors have been developed: sales skills, communication, influence & negotiation, problem solving, and planning & organizing skills
