Vacancy: Tourism Promotions Officer
 

Reporting to the Business Manager Tourism, the Tourism Promotions Officer will be part of a team of professionals heading our Tourism & Marketing Department.

Responsibilities:
 

The Tourism Promotions Officer will be responsible for effective PR, marketing and promotion of the company’s still evolving tourism products.
 

Mapping value proposition to target audience for nature-based tourism products, and develop a communication and awareness campaign
 

Develop and maintain lively and interactive internet and social media presence

Monitor general tourism market developments and trends for adaptive management of the company’s products and offers
 

Develop and maintain a robust network with the tourism industry in Kenya, and cultivate close links with key players in Kenya’s tourism industry to promote the company’s products, and keep her respected as an active player in the industry
 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Ecotourism, Hospitality management, or similar fields
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar position preferably with a management component
• Experience in Tourism Industry, preferably nature and wildlife-related tourism with requirement to share accurate information on wide nature based topics
• Experience in the development and execution of communication strategies
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills, self-driven, result-oriented, able to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication, networking and PR skills
