Full time (40 hours per week); 9:30- 4:00pm

Position Available: Immediately

Summary of Organization

Jahwar Amber Fellowship Fund (JAF) seeks to make religious freedom a social norm. Too often, consciousness is seen as a barrier of division. JAF believes pluralism can be a bridge of cooperation, strengthening our civil society and promoting the common good.

Just as civil rights leaders and environmentalists built transformative movements in the 20th century, JAF believes that Unitarian Universalist leaders will build the movement for pluralist cooperation in the 21st century.

Since 2009, JAF has worked in Africa and with over 20 college and university campuses, training hundreds in the principles of secular leadership, and reaching millions through the media. We have worked with partners including the Secular Students Alliance, IHEU, Skepchics, the White House, Center for Inquiry and the Office of Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan.

The organization has created its service committee, Jahwar Amber Unitarian Service Committee (JAUSC) to be able to account to its programs effectively. JAUSC is a humanitarian organization clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of local communities in East and Horn of Africa. JAUSC is a co-initiative of Project Nabuur as founded by Boaz Adhengo.

Due to a restructuring, the JAF Regional Support Office - Africa - in Nairobi will soon be taking over all travel bookings for all of JAF's African programmes. Therefore we created the new position of Travel Procurement Officer.

We are looking for a person with an extensive background in the travel industry or a similar position in an INGO or international company.

You should have experience with international and national flight and hotel bookings, with visa and passport applications as well as other travel related support.

You will be working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

Excellent organization and communication skills, administrative experience, attention to detail, computer literacy, the ability to set priorities and to be flexible are therefore essential.
