Free the Children Community Health Nurses Jobs in Maasai Mara Kenya

Free the Children is looking to recruit a Community Nurses to work in their Health Centre in Maasai Mara.

Job description:

• Plan for and participate in field research related to community health nursing.
• Seek and encourage input from community members, local leadership, and other community health workers in determining health care needs throughout the community.
  
• Set health care priorities, implement the prevention, health promotion, and other programs identified in the community health nursing plan.
• Assess community health needs using local knowledge and information, morbidity, mortality, and general health status statistical information.
• Deliver approved health care services through planned home visits, clinics, and workshops.
• Counsel parents of infants, preschool, and school children including prevention, normal growth and development, and illness management.
• Knowledge of public health issues in Kenya.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized College.
• At least 5 years in Community nursing experience.
• Must be Registered by the Nursing council of Kenya
• Must have rural background working with Communities.
