The organisation is geographically located in Nairobi, Naivasha, Kericho, Mt. Kenya and Mombasa and works with 1,200 vegetable out growers and 10,000 tea out growers.

Vacancies for Field Supervisors have arisen within our Tea Estates and we wish to recruit highly qualified, self motivated and dynamic individuals to fill these positions.

The Job

Reporting to the Assistant Manager the job holders will implement field operation plans in order to ensure set output targets and standards are attained as per laid down sustainable agricultural practices and in accordance to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The job holders will:
  • Ensure proper crop husbandry and company work standards are achieved at all times.
  • Ensure proper soil conservation & management of natural resource.
  • Ensure health & safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Allocate tasks & set targets.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources.
  • Ensure a disciplined team.
  • Maintain good working relations among employees and management.
  • Maintain up to date plucking and other records.
  • Train employees to achieve effectiveness, efficiency and a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all the existing accreditations on the Tea Estate.
Minimum Requirements
  • A qualification in Agricultural sciences, Agricultural Engineering or related field
  • Computer literate (will be added advantage)
  • At least two (2) years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organising and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player.
