Head of Product Design
Reporting
to the Managing Director
Duties
& responsibilities:
- Development
of new furniture product lines using MDF and particleboard
- Design
of furniture using 3D Auto Cad software
- Conversion
of furniture designs into furniture parts and components, with precision
detail for Knock Down (KD) assembly
- Oversee
design and build of existing projects
- Install
and commission CNC nesting table, packaging line and other CNC work
centers for KD furniture
- Train
and develop staff to operate these machines
- Onsite
training for installation teams on how to use power tools and skills to
provide quality on-site installation solutions
- Set
up local training facility for installers
- Maintenance
and machinery of all CNC, PLC and non PLC run machinery
Qualifications
& Experience
- Minimum
15 years experience in the wood based panel industry
- Minimum
10 years experience with CNC Nesting Systems
- Experience
in commissioning CNC machines and work centres
- Experience
in having trained to operate machines and onsite training
- Experience
in the Flat Pack (KD) industry
- Mechanical
Engineer
- Knowledge
of latest techniques for commercial and residential furniture
- Language
skills - German/English
