Plant & Development Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst
others:
  • Reviewing and monitoring Hospital construction programs and activity schedules.
  • Maintaining the interface between the Hospital, contractors and other external parties.
  • Planning project progress review meetings and circulating minutes.
  • Liaising with external project and site supervision teams.
  • Facilitating smooth handover of construction projects.
  • Identifying potential construction problem areas and taking corrective action.
  • Overseeing the outsourced services function of the Hospital including housekeeping, landscaping, waste management and courier services.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in architecture, engineering, quantity survey, design, land economics or building economics.
  • 6 years progressive experience in coordinating construction projects. Experience in facilities management will be an added advantage.
  • Sound leadership skills.
  • Up to date registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and/or complex operational issues.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Pharmacists

Reporting to the Chief Pharmacist, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst
others:
  • Checking prescriptions for accuracy and suitability to ensure safe, economical and rational use of drugs and pharmaceutical products.
  • Providing accurate drug information to patients and other users.
  • Clinical checks on all treatment sheets and prescriptions.
  • Preparation and labelling of extemporaneous preparations for both in/out patients.
  • Participating in chemotherapy dispensing and reconstitution in accordance with the cytotoxic handling policy.
  • Implementing hospital policies on drug use and pharmacy standard operating procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Possession of valid annual practicing license.
  • 1 year work experience.

Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst
others:
  • Preparing and implementing the budget for income expenditure and capex.
  • Supervising and reviewing the billing, income capture and expenditure.
  • Ensuring operational and capital expenditure are in line with Hospital budgets and industry standards.
  • Preparing adhoc, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and forecast.
  • Working closely with other Senior Accountants to ensure smooth closedown of accounts.
  • Reviewing systems and procedures to increase efficiency and to comply with guidelines issued by internal andexternal audit from time to time.
  • Working with other managers in areas such as service development, performance management, business planning and improvement of key performance indicators.
  • Participating in regular stock takes and analyze stock variances.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Commerce Accounting / Economics or related field.
  • CPA (K) or ACCA.
  • 6 years experience in accounting, with at least three of these at senior level.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting, auditing, financial and management reporting.

Senior Systems Administrators

Reporting to the ICT Manager the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Reviewing designs, developing and implementing relevant policy for the use of ICT.
  • Advising on ICT trends relevant to healthcare and other aspects of business management.
  • Providing technical guidance on the procurement of ICT systems and technology.
  • Implementing in house ICT systems in liaison with client departments.
  • Assisting in evaluating business needs for new applications and systems.
  • Assisting in the design and development and implementation or acquisition of new applications and systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical /Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Marketing and Customer Service Assistant

Reporting to the Marketing and Customer Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Promoting the Nairobi Hospital’s products and services through the Hospital’s publications, events and electronic media to clients.
  • Planning and conducting customer satisfaction surveys and customer service audits and preparing monthly analysis from patient satisfactory questionnaires.
  • Designing and issuing brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, fliers, cards, patient information booklets, certificates and calendars amongst others.
  • Organizing corporate marketing, customer service and CSR events.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, and Customer Service.
  • 3 years customer care and or marketing experience in the service industry.

Ultra Sonographers

Ref: HRD/US/11/12
 
Reporting to the Chief Radiographer the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst
others:
  • Performing ultrasound examinations for diagnostic purposes according to the clinical requirements of the referring physicians.
  •  Providing reports for all ultrasounds performed.
  • Performing routine and special radiological examinations including mobile radiography and image intensifier when required.
  • Assisting cardiologist in the Catheterisation Laboratory as may be required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Higher Diploma in ultra sonography.
  • 3 years relevant experience, one of which must be in ultra sonography.
Ambulance Drivers

Ref: HRD/AD/11/12
 
Reporting to the Support Services Officer the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Ensuring the Hospital ambulance being driven is mechanically viable and safe.
  • Examining the ambulance and ensuring timely report of all maintenance issues.
  • Maintaining the vehicles cleanliness.
  • Timely reporting all incidents involving the vehicle.
  • Ensuring that all journeys taken are official and logged.
  • Maintaining and caring for the vehicle by checking its fuel, engine oil, water, tyre, pressure, clutch, brakes, lights, side mirrors, life savers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, indicators, tool box and gauges.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • KCSE.
  • Clean Drivers license class BCEFG.
  • 3 years experience in ambulance driving.
  • Fluently spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
Laboratory Technologists

Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Performing all pre-analytical procedures, phlebotomy and blood banking responsibilities as designated.
  • Obtaining specimen from patients and recording in appropriate registers.
  • Auditing pending tests for collection in wards.
  • Generating test reports under relevant reporting protocol.
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring calibration is done at required times.
  • Performing laboratory tests and general quality checks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Diploma or BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • HND is an added advantage.
  • Phlebotomy training/experience is and added advantage.
  • 1 year experience in a clinical laboratory.
Staff Nurses
