Sales and Business Development Position TxtEz Ltd
 
TxtEz, a privately held startup with offices in Silicon Valley (USA), Cambridge (UK) and Nairobi, Kenya is seeking an enthusiastic and diligent individual for the purposes of business support and development.

We have an initial product we are trialling in the B2C mobile space intended to make it very simple, effective and scalable for businesses to communicate with customers. 

We are looking for the right individual to help us refine the product, grow the business and potentially lead our Kenyan office.
 

The ideal candidate will:
 
a. Have knowledge of the mobile space in Kenyan markets: Indepth technical knowledge is not required though familiarity with the general design of mobile and cloud systems and SMS would be beneficial.
 
b. Have extremely good communication skills (listening and speaking): He or she should be open to talking to customers regularly to garner feedback in order to relay this to the technical team. He or she should also be able to spot and develop justification cases for changes to the existing product
and the introduction of new products.

c. Be able to liaise with and effectively manoeuvre and posit the position and needs of the company with the large mobile phone telecommunication carriers in the Kenyan market.

d. Be able to make diligent and continual progress with respect to the company's goals in a tough and
competitive business and legislative environment.

Responsibilities:
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
 
a. Generating new business: This involves introducing the product to new businesses and getting them to sign up and trial it.
 
b. General country specific support functions: Simple administrative tasks such as approval of new accounts.
 
c. Solicit Product feedback: Liaise with businesses to determine their needs as well as get introduce and acquire feedback from existing customers on proposed extensions and new products.
 
d. Trial Support: Support early customers during the trial period, provides feedback on bugs and issues that require immediate addressing. Discussion and feedback of the business model with early trial customers.

Commitment:
 Current commitment will be 24 hours a week, remunerated accordingly. As the business grows expect this expand to a full time position.
