Sasahost Limited is seeking to fill the position of a Logistics Officer / Driver.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive the assigned motor vehicle to transport Directors, staff, clients and others to designated locations.
  • Comply with the Kenyan Highway Code and Company policies on driving at all times, ensuring safe, courteous driving is observed.
  • Conduct day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle including but not limited to checking oil, water, battery, brake system and tires. Perform minor repairs and arrange for any other repairs necessary to keep the vehicle safe and technically sound at all times; maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle and promptly report any damage, accidents, or incidents.
  • Plan ahead to meet anticipated requirements including, fuelling, pre-travel checks, travel documents, vehicle expenses.
  • Maintain accurate logs of daily mileage, fuel consumption, transportation/vehicle related expenditures, vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure all vehicle permits and insurance are up to date.
  • Be responsible for third-party maintenance conducted on vehicles; inspect and certify conformity with requirements and expectations.
  • Be accountable for all spares or accessories fitted in vehicles during repairs.
  • Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Management.
Required Qualifications
  • Be a holder of KCSE grade C and above. Diploma in Information Technology or Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Posses a clean driving license class B, C and E and at least 5 years continuous accident free driving experience in a busy environment. First aid/Motor Vehicle mechanics/Defensive driving certificates will be an added advantage.
  • Posses good communication skills (both written & Spoken) and be a team player.
  • Be in possession of a school leaving certificate.
  • Be in possession of a certificate of good conduct from the Kenyan Government, not older than 6 months.
  • Be a PSV holder.
  • Be in possession of a Competency Test Certificate from Automobile Association of Kenya (AAK).
  • Must never have worked as a Matatu driver.
  • Be aged between 25-45 years.
  • Have good command of both English and Kiswahili.
  • Must be well groomed.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate character on responsiveness & decisiveness.
  • Have tech savvy abilities.
  • Have very good knowledge of Nairobi & its environs.
  • Should be a Teetotaler (abstains from alcohol).
