Opportunities in the Energy Sector                  
 
Aldwych Africa Developments Limited (AADL) is a Kenyan registered company fully owned by Aldwych Holdings Limited, registered in the England.  

The Aldwych group of companies develops, finances, owns and operates power plants across Africa. 

In Kenya, we boast the  building, owning and operating of the 90MW Rabai Power plant near Kaloleni and we are nearing the commencement of construction of the Ksh75 billion, 300MW Lake Turkana Wind Power Project. 

As AADL, we are building a team based in Nairobi to develop and bring to market more power project opportunities with support from the London and Dar es Salaam offices.  

To support this growth, we are seeking talented, motivated, skilled individuals to fill the following positions:
 
Project Manager - Analyst
 
In this position, your primary responsibility will be evaluating and analysing business and investment opportunities in the East Africa Region. 

You will also identify and prepare upcoming projects for investment. 

In addition, you will observe and analyze developments in the Kenyan Energy Sector against developments in the energy sector worldwide, with a focus on identifying potential projects. 

You will have: advanced skills in building and manipulating complex financial models, excellent financial and analytical skills; a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a closely related role; and  university degree with an emphasis in finance or maths. 

 Experience in project finance related transactions and the power sector is highly preferred. 

Exposure in project management is an added advantage as is work experience abroad. 

Project Manager - Power
 
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the viability of opportunities in the energy sector, negotiating contracts, permitting, and project financing. 

You will be expected to mobilise and coordinate the project stakeholders involved in project implementation and monitor the same to ensure that implementation is according to set budgets and timelines and quality standards are met.

You will have five 5 to 10 years’ experience building and commissioning and/or operationalization of large energy/power projects and a bachelor’s degree energy or engineering. 

Experience in Project Financing is an added advantage.

Office Manager
 
The Office Manager will have overall responsibility of Managing AADL Offices in Kenya including arranging meetings, administering leases, office supplies and communication both locally and abroad with the head quarters in London. 

You will also be involved in project management and will support the Regional Manager and Project Manager in the implementation of projects in the EA region.

You will have five 5 to 8  years’ experience managing an office, excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact at all levels including professionals in the private and public sectors and expatriates. International experience is an added advantage.
