Invitation to Showcase the Work of Kenyan NGOs

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international non-governmental organization supporting relief and development work in over 99 countries around the world. 

CRS programs assist persons on the basis of need, regardless of creed, ethnicity or nationality and works through local church and non-church partners to implement its programs. 

CRS carries out the commitment of the Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas. Our Catholic identity is at the heart of our mission and operations. 

We welcome as a part of our staff and as partners people of all faiths and secular traditions who share our values and our commitment to serving those in need 

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Kenya Program is inviting registered local non-profit organizations to apply to attend an upcoming local capacity building/cross sectoral engagement event in Nairobi in early May 2014. 

This event will bring together local organizations, international NGOs, private companies, and international donors to discuss how these different organizations can better collaborate to ensure Kenyan-led solutions to the development challenges in Kenya.
 
CRS invites NGOs across Kenya to apply to attend this event. 

Those selected will attend a 1 day conference in Nairobi and will be asked to showcase their work at a booth that will be provided at the event. 

This is a good opportunity to market your organization and share your best practices in this theme. 

NGOs who work in a one or more of the following sectors are invited to apply: Health, OVC, agriculture, water/sanitation, peacebuilding, and access to finance.
 
To apply: Please send a short abstract (no more than 2 pages) that;
 
1. Summarizes your organization’s work,
 
2. Outlines what you will showcase at your booth, and
 
3. Provides a brief biography of the 2 individuals from your organization you will send (note that transport to Nairobi and accommodation in Nairobi will be covered by CRS).
 
All submissions can be submitted in hardcopies to CRS office in Karuna Close, Westlands Nairobi or by email to the address below. 

Submissions should reach the below mentioned by close of Business Monday March 10th, 2014.
