Vacancy: Growth Cap Partnership Manager 

FSD established its finance for growth theme area to identify and tackle the constraints to SME finance. 

The theme area seeks to build institutional capacity in SME risk assessment and management as well as support the development of financial products and services suited to the SME market. 

GrowthCap is a three year FSD project under this finance for growth theme, which began in October 2012. It works with a small number of financial institutions in an action research programme to develop new ways to deal with their SME customers. 

Growth Cap is now seeking a highly competent individual to fill the position of Partnership Manager to provide coordination of and impetus to the work done by the project in conjunction with its partners.

The Growth Cap Partnership Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic institutional relationships as well as defining and overseeing all activities the project engages in with its partners. 

Together with the Head of Inclusive Growth and the GrowthCap Strategic Advisory Group, he/she will also be central to the project’s effort to develop capacity in local service providers to the SME finance industry

The selected individual will be expected to have as a minimum:
  • Æ’A university first degree and/or relevant professional qualification;Æ’ Æ’
  • 10 years implementing change in financial institutions;Æ’ Æ’
  • 7 years of SME finance experience;Æ’ Æ’
  • Project management skills; and,Æ’ Æ’
  • Training and curriculum development experience.
In addition they need to possess in strong measure the following competencies:
  • Æ’Strategy and ideas generation;Æ’ Æ’
  • Team leadership and delivery;Æ’ Æ’
  • Stakeholder relations and accountability; and,Æ’ Æ’
  • Technical and advisory - in particular current SME finance methods.
