Applications for Appointment of Board of Directors for Busia Water and Sewage Company Ltd.
 

The County Government of Busia invites interested persons with passion and vision to serve as members of the board of directors of Busia Water and Sewage Company Ltd for a term of three years. Busia Water and Sewage Company has been appointed to provide water and sewage services in the Busia County.

The persons sought to be directors of the company should come from the following stakeholders group:

• Two members from the business and manufacturing community
• One member representing local professionals
• One representative from resident organizations
• One member from a woman organization

The Department of Water, Environment and Natural Resources will strive to ensure equitable representation from the service area as it makes the appointments.

All applicants should be nominated by their respective bodies
 

Eligibility Criteria
 

To be eligible, the applicant should be:

1. Literate and numerate to at least O level.
2. Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession of at least 7 years.
3. Demonstrate participation in local development initiatives.
4. Have experience as a change management agent.
5. Possess skills in finance, organizational development, human resources and business planning.
6. Suppliers or other trading associates of the company cannot become directors of the company.
7. Persons in current professional or social relationships with directors of the company cannot become directors in the company.

Interested persons should submit their applications and curriculum vitae (CV) including certified copies of academic testimonials, professional certificates, national identity card letter or nomination by their stakeholder group or institution to which they belong.

The applications should be submitted before 4:00 pm on 30th September, 2014 in plain and sealed envelope marked “Application for Directorship for Busia Water and Sewage Company Ltd” to the:
