The Micronutrient Initiative is a leading organization in Africa working to deliver health and nutrition programs to the region’s most vulnerable. At an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the organization, we seek a new Regional Manager External Relations to lead our ER team in Africa.

We are looking for someone who shares our organizational culture of delivering high-impact and cost-effective programs that will have a lasting effect for generations. 

As the Regional Manager of several countries in Africa in an environment of opportunity and growth, the Regional Manager External Relations will 
  • work to identify internal and external communication needs; 
  • manage communication tasks and events aimed at positioning MI in the Region as the world’s leading organization dedicated to eliminating micronutrient deficiencies; 
  • support advocacy initiatives to advance MI’s goals and objectives in Africa, and develop and implement strategies to address them.
  • Strong communication skills will help the MI Africa excel in the areas of resource mobilization and donor stewardship. 
  • We seek someone who will lead by example to foster an entrepreneurial culture of ingenuity and innovation so that we bring together the best of our efforts for lasting results.
Qualifications could include:
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in communications, media, project management, donor stewardship, etc;
  • Experience of working in an international and/or non-governmental organization;
  • Excellent fluency in both written and spoken English. Fluency in French will be an added advantage.
