We are medium sized General Insurance Company with operations in Kenya.
We seek to hire a competent Human Resource and Administration Manager to oversee the functions of the Human Resource and Administration department.
This position reports to the Managing Director.
The candidate shall be responsible for:
- Reviewing and updating of human resource policies and related manuals.
- Job descriptions, evaluations and instituting performance management systems.
- Training and mentoring staff.
- All labour related matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Payroll processing and general administration.
- Occupational Safety and Health matters.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human resource. Master’s degree in a similar field is an added advantage.
- Have a minimum of Five (5) years relevant work experience, 2 of which must have been at managerial level with proven record of outstanding performance.
- Good understand of human resource management processes, procedures and legislation governing the administration of human resources.
- Good business sense (acumen) coupled with the ability to make sound decisions.
- An appreciation of basic accounting is an added advantage.
