Location: Nairobi
 

Our client, a company in the Marketing and Advertising Industry is seeking a 3D Video Animator to join its operations.  

Job Summary: The successful candidate will use cutting edge technology to create 3D animations that will be used in a variety of advertising formats. 

The job will require three dimensional animation skills in creation of characters and objects in 3 dimensional layout and adding visual effects to achieve an attractive and realistic illusion. 

The candidates must have reliable storytelling abilities that can be applied to digital technology. 

The incumbent will work around different areas of the 3D animation industry such Visual effects, 3D modeling, storyboarding, Visual Development, character animation, and other areas.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Liaising with clients and developing animation from their concepts;
• Creating storyboards that depict the script and narrative
• Drawing in 2D to create sketches, artwork or illustrations
• Designing models, backgrounds, sets, characters, objects and the animation environment;
• Developing web, film and motion advertisements
• Developing flash advertisements out of print ads
• Conferring with writers about development of story lines and actions and settings necessary to implement the plot.
• Generating conceptual drafts
• Developing models and sketches to be used in selection of final scenes and characters.
• Working with a team of animation experts to develop appearances, characteristics and movement for the characters in the animation.

Education and Qualifications

• Experience in 3D Video animation
• Able to showcase related works done previously
• Experience  in Fine Arts /IT or equivalent
• Strong art and animation training.
• Knowledge in Flash Designer, 3D Illustrator, 3D Animator, 3D web Developer, Web Design and 3D Web Illustrator
• Proficiency with Adobe’s After Effects and Photoshop
• Knowledge of Flex, Flash, or other 3d illustrating technologies
• Ability to work fast and produce impressive results
• Ability to produce results within a designated production schedule
• Articulate, attentive and with an eye for detail
• Possess a high level of creativity
