Point of Sale (POS) Specialist
 
The job holder will be responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation, software training, and support services for new and existing clients. 

He will have direct responsibility for researching and facilitating resolution of all implementation issues for the client, deployment of projects that may include a combination of software applications and related interfaces.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply POS expertise and knowledge to assist in the identification, sales, and delivery of POS Solutions.
  • Elicit POS related requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze prospect and client POS business requirements.
  • Prepare and develop high-level solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Translate solution components into functional requirements, tasks, activities, and conditions of satisfaction.
  • Validate requirements with key stakeholders.
  • Document results and findings during each phase of the project.
  • Collaborate with Project Management in the execution of tasks and activities.
  • Assist with the demonstration of POS features, functionality, and system capabilities.
  • Work with Sales in the identification, qualification, demonstration, and closing of POS opportunities.
  • Analyze prospect and client POS requirements and determine gaps/fits with existing POS solution components.
  • Make recommendations for future POS enhancements to meet changing POS industry and specific business needs.
  • Perform design and analysis as well as assist with the development of additional POS functions and features.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Hospitality or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of restaurant/retail management experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues is required.
  • POS training and POS hardware experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of POS back-office preferred.
  • Inventory experience a plus.
  • Food and beverage certification is a plus.
  • PC hardware and network installation a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer support and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
