Program Manager / Senior Program Manager - Elections

NDI is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Program Manager / Senior Program Manager (depending on experience) to work with the Institute's civil society partners to support electoral integrity and implement election monitoring programs.

Program duties will include contribution to the design, implementation and monitoring of NDI Kenya election support programs.

The individual will maintain relationships and communication with NDI civil society partners.

He/She will be responsible for the processing of sub-grant proposals, review of sub-grantee programmatic and financial reports, and supervision of junior program staff.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Law, Political Science or International Relations (Graduate degree will be an added advantage). A minimum of 6 years working experience with Kenyan civil society organizations in the field of democracy and governance is required, preferably in electoral programs.

All the above positions require strong oral and written communication skills (English), proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), well organized and skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Flexibility, diligence and team orientation.

Key function of this position will be capacity building among information systems users at the national, county, district and community levels of government and health facility personnel.

Specific responsibilities include:
 
  • Support development of health system and information requirements, analysis, design, specifications, piloting and testing, implementation and evaluation
  • Support the implementation of one unified integrated system and use of information
  • Work with Kenya MOH and all stakeholders to identify data collection and reporting requirements for strengthening and integrating the Community Health Information System

Basic Qualifications:
  • Advanced University degree i.e. Masters in Public Health (MPH), or Masters Degree in health information strategy and policy, epidemiology, international health, demography, biostatistics or monitoring and evaluation
  • 5 years professional experience working in health information systems with a demonstrated experience and understanding of stakeholder consultations, requirements analysis, indicator harmonization, data quality improvements and information use
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational capacity building, collaboration with governments and non governmental entities
  • Excellent English oral ad written communication skills
