Job Title: Area Business Supervisor

Job Purpose

As area business supervisor, you will be responsible for driving sales and distribution operation in the region allocated for realization of monthly and annual sales objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Effectively manage the customer order and stock management in order to achieve sales and revenue targets as well as growth objectives.
  • Administer target distribution plans through implementation of robust Route to Market that guarantees supplies to the target trade channels by product category and SKU. Ensure proper use of sales tools.

Job Title: Area Business Supervisor – Point of Buying
 
Reporting to: Trade Development Manager
 
This role will be responsible for management, placement and tracking of Point of Buying materials as per the set standards at various locations and ensuring that these are in optimal working condition and are fully merchandised as per agreed planograms.
 
The incumbent will also ensure that contract and agreements for all fridges and POB are updated and reviewed after every six months or as need may arise.
 
Key Accountabilities
  • Prepare monthly Point of Buying plans and reports in conjunction with the commercial team.
  • Ensure merchandising standards are adhered to at all times and train merchandisers on basic checks on coolers and POB materials.
  • Development and grow relationships with trade partners, marketing team, sales teams and POB suppliers.
  • Tap into current potential and exploit available Point of Buying Materials opportunities across all Trade Channels in Kenya.
  • Work closely with logistics to ensure timely delivery of POB materials to various locations.
  • To ensure all fridges/Coolers are in good working conditions by diagnosing, installing, repairing and servicing the coolers and working with maintenance department to ensure spare parts and equipment inventory is up to date.
  • Implementing changes, expansions and additions to cooler units systems by identifying problems, keeping abreast of new developments, using statistics and equipment history reports.
  • Ensuring all POB and coolers contracts are up to date.

Job Title: Sales Analyst
 
Reporting to: Sales Manager-Kenya
As the sales analyst for the Kenya site you will be responsible for extensive report analysis including co-ordinating sales administration activities for Kenya & other EA markets.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Collate, analyse and manipulate various sales data for various SKUs and present reports as needed
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports and as when needed
  • Supporting Customer order management and Liaising with the respective sales Supervisors, Key Accounts Merchandisers and the Business Development Manager to close all customer queries efficiently.
  • Leveraging partnerships with other departments (marketing, L&CO, Finance and HR) to streamline cross functional processes implementation.
  • Collating marketing intelligence and other sales data and generating value addition reports to support informed decision making.
  • Co-ordinating sales administration activities for Kenya & other EA markets:
  • Ensure all sales-related activities are supported
  • Organizing requisition and dispatch of tools of work for the Sales Team in liaison with procurement department.

Senior Epidemiologist

Duty station:

KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is a prominent knowledge and expertise centre and stimulates effective, efficient and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context. It operates from the central office in The Hague in the Netherlands, regional offices and additional country offices worldwide. 

The organization was founded in 1903 by a private Dutch initiative and now operates worldwide. For its funding KCNV is dependent on government subsidies and private contributions through fundraising.

Purpose of the job

KNCV primary activity is the building of capacity through the provision of technical assistance. An important field is the building of capacity in operational research applicable to the national TB control efforts at country level. 

KNCV is in the process of decentralizing core activities from the central office in The Hague to the regional office in Nairobi. 

One of these activities is the development of the specific technical area of operational research in the African region.

Main duties:
  • Carrying out national and international epidemiological TB research in the African region
  • Maintaining an overview of ongoing TB OR research and analyzing a data
  • Developing project plans and proposals for research projects.
  • Assisting researchers in countries in setting up and carrying out research projects; building capacity for research by giving technical support, providing formal training and monitoring performance of the work. This may include local MSc and PhD students.
  • Maintaining contacts with national and international research organizations such as universities, the Medical Research Institutes, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) etc.
  • Publishing scientific articles and dissemination of results
  • Advising and supporting national TB program staff and partner institutions in the African region in setting up and conducting TB research in a national and international context.
  • Identifying opportunities for research and seeking funding for them
  • Frequent travel (30-40% of the time) to countries within the region
Required qualifications:
  • Academic level of working and thinking (preferable medical specialization).
  • Doctorate degree (PhD) or a minimum of 4 or more first author publications in international journals (not counting abstracts).
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with research techniques and statistics.
  • Knowledge of epidemiology preferable in the area of tuberculosis.
  • Experience in training and capacity building processes.
  • Ability to work in a team and as an individual.
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
  • Demonstrated skills in research data analysis and statistical programs.
