Plus Medical Services (E-Plus) is a private company, limited by guarantee,
fully owned by the Kenya Red Cross Society to offer emergency medical services
which include 24hr ambulance services, pre-hospital care training and the sale
of first aid kits.
The organization is looking to fill the following positions.
Job Title: Paramedics (4)
Reports To: Paramedic Supervisor
Location: Garissa & Meru
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide
and direct fast, efficient Advanced Life Support to the ill and injured
utilizing all basic and advanced abilities and techniques
- Understand
and anticipate potentially life-threatening squeal of cardiac and
non-cardiac emergencies and institute appropriate emergency therapy where
essential for the preservation of life
- Deal
with medical and emotional needs of any victim of acute illness or injury
with the goal of reducing mortality and morbidity;
- Responsible
for managing and directing all first responders at the scene of a medical
emergency
- Responsible
for quality patient-care as established by the E-Plus
- File
standardized reports of patient information and care for the use of receiving
hospital and administration, including nature of request for aid,
pertinent past history, therapy provided diagnosis, disposition and
sufficient patient information for billing purposes
- Maintain
effective communication with physician on duty at hospital to relate
patient condition and obtain orders for treatment
- Transport
the ill and injured to institutions of medical care
- Where
a patient must be extricated from entrapment, assess the extent of injury
and give all possible emergency care and protection to the entrapped
patient and uses the prescribed techniques and appliances for safely
removing the patient.
- Receive
and receipt cash payments for ambulance recue services and handing over
the same to finance
- Maintain
ambulance in efficient operating condition
- Perform
any other duty within the scope of this position
Minimum
requirements:
- Kenya
Registered Community Nurse or Degree in Nursing or clinical medicine
- Certificate
in BLS, ACLS, ATLS
- Additional
qualification in ambulance operations is an added advantage
- Minimum
experience of two years as a nurse/ critical care nurse in ICU,HDU,
Accident and Emergency
- Minimum
of five years experience as a driver with a clean driving record will be
an added advantage
Job
Title: Ambulance Operators (6)
Reports To:
AO Logistics Supervisor
Location: Nanyuki, Malindi &Nyeri
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain
the ambulance in the most efficient operating condition ensuring proper
cost management
- Timely
and safe patient rescue and evacuation
- At
all times ensure proper maintenance of ambulances and the assigned
equipment
- Receipt
and handover cash payments for ambulance rescue services as required
- Ensure
the ambulance is in proper mechanical condition by performing daily unit
checklist before and after every shift
- Assist
Paramedic or doctor in patient care.
- Proper
incident command while on rescue missions
- Actively
participate in continuous medical education
- Perform
any other duty within the scope of this position
Minimum
Requirements:
- Emergency
Medical Technician certificate
- Certificate
in Basic Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac
- Life
support or Advanced Trauma Life Support added advantage
- Must
have a minimum of five years experience as a driver with a clean driving
record. Certificate of good conduct must be produced
- Two
(2) years experience as an ambulance operator will be an added advantage
- Additional
qualification within the medical industry is an advantage
Job
Title: Sales Coordinator
Reports To:
Sales Manager
Location: Nairobi
Key Responsibilities
- Provide
specialized assistance to internal sales personnel and customers by acting
on a variety of requests including, but not limited to quotes, sample
requests, pricing related projects, vendor contact and other sales related
activities that will support sales staff in achieving their targets.
- Assist
in the development of customer presentations as required
- Coordinate
communication of all customer-related issues to sales manager to ensure
seamless flow of information.
- Additional
possible projects include preparing support materials for sales calls;
contacting vendors to request sample products for customers; performing
internet research; handling sales leaders follow-up calls; system
clean-ups; mailings and mail merges; and performing a variety of clerical
functions and data entry.
- Submit
and track sample requests
- Assist
in updating internal sales forecasts
- Create
and generate weekly sales reports
- Work
closely with internal cross-functional partners to ensure responsiveness

- Lead

Main Responsibilities
- Prepare
purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments
originating requests
- Determining
if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials
when necessary
- Reviewing
requisitions orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and
specifications
- Comparing
prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best
bid among potential suppliers
- Processing
payments for suppliers and ensuring all suppliers are paid on time
- Tracking
the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
- Responding
to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Contacting
suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve
shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
- Responding

- Processing
payments for suppliers and ensuring all suppliers are paid on time
- Prequalification
of suppliers
- Ensure
the existing of a symbiotic business relationship between suppliers and
E-Plus
Minimum
Requirements:
- Bachelors
Degree in a business related field preferably in finance
- CPA
or ACCA
- At
least (2) years experience in the relevant position
- Experience
in procurement will be an added advantage
