FH / Kenya (Food for the Hungry, Kenya) and Christian Community services Mt. Kenya (CCSMKE) are both Christian organizations partnering to offer Care and treatment to PLWHIV in Marsabit districts.

Both organizations have established a comprehensive care centre in Marsabit – Tumaini Medical Centre that is giving care and treatment to PLWHIV while offering affordable medical services to general population in Marsabit.

Through this partnership CCSMKE seeks to fill in the following vacant job positions in Tumaini clinic.

Job Position: Data Clerk

1 Position

To be based in Marsabit

Contract Period: One Year Contract (Renewable)

Duties:

Reporting to the clinic manager, the Data Clerk is expected to carry out the following duties among others:
  • Data entry in the clinic’s information systems
  • Keep track of received data and source document
  • Maintain filling and data for the clients served at Tumaini clinic
  • Develop defaulter tracking systems and advice health/social workers on any failed appointment
  • Prepares and sort source documents and identifies and interpret data to be entered
  • Prepares contacts of source documents to resolve question, inconsistencies or missing data
  • Confirm accuracy of data, compare data with source document or re-enter data in verification to detect errors
  • Support collection and documentation of best practices.
  • Prepare for periodic data quality checks that will be contacted by M & E officer
  • Participate in processing monthly, quarterly and annual reports using internal tools and MOPHS recommended tools among other duties.
Job Qualifications/Experience (Minimum)
  • Must be at least a Diploma in Health records management, Business Administration/Secretarial studies or other related course
  • Two years work experience in a similar position or a combination of education, training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform these duties
  • Knowledge in record management procedure
  • Ability to operate word processing software, OpenMRS, Spreadsheet and database
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge on IT and will be an added advantage
