International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through healthcare interventions and related activities that build local capacity in had to reach areas, and saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief programs.

IMC is anticipating a scale up of programming to meet the needs of the increased refugee population in Dadaab Camp Complex and is looking for a qualified candidate to take up the following position:

Logistics Manager


Will be based in Dadaab and will have the following duties and responsibilities:-

Duties & Responsibilities:-
  • Organize and manage transportation network for people and supplies.
  • Assets recording, tracking and reporting.
  • Procure locally for health clinics and offices.
  • Coordinate with Nairobi Logistics for International procurement for health clinics.
  • Develop framework agreement with local vendors.
  • Arrange and manage storage or drugs and supplies including cold chain.
  • Organize and manage distribution of supplies including tracking.
  • Ensure that all stock records are properly maintained and stock movements monitored.
  • Oversee the hiring of properties and premises as required ensuring that contract, leases and other agreements are properly prepared and updated.
  • Ensure that communication systems function effectively and efficiently (telephone, e-mail, radio, mail and courier services, etc.)
  • To establish and maintain up-to-date information about shipment procedures and costs.
  • To record lessons learned and improve the efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To undertake any other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications Required
  • University level – Business Administration, Management, Transport, Engineering or related field is preferable.
  • Humanitarian logistics certification preferable.
  • Five years of professional work experience in logistics management at the national level.
  • Three years’ experience in refugee settings.
  • Proven analytical and warehouse management skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to implement training.
  • Ability to manage large groups of people.
  • Computer skills, including internet navigation, and various office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
