We wish to recruit dynamic and result driven professionals to fill the following positions:-

Depot Manager

HR/DM/04/1/2012.

The Job

The Depot Manager will be Reporting to the Stores Manager. He/She will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient administration of the operation at the depot. He/she will also be responsible for:
  • Administration of the Depot.
  • Liaising with the Regional Sales Manager on ordering of stocks for the depot.
  • Managing stock levels and making key decisions on stock control.
  • Ensuring availability of all company range of products as well as supplies at the depot (e.g. stationery) at all times.
  • Managing and reconciling the inventory.
  • Ensuring standards for quality, health and safety are met at the depot
  • Monitoring the movement of crates and containers and overseeing there cleanliness and handling to reduce breakage.
  • Managing the staff at the depot including performance appraisal
  • Managing of depot resources (vehicles, petty cash, crates, staff, and cash).
  • Writing of report (cash and stock reconciliations, underpayments & debtors report and staff establishment reports).
The Candidate Specifications:

The candidate must possess the following qualifications:-
  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce Economic, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • At least 5 years experience in supervising a unit/others doing similar work.
Essential Skills
  • Must be proficient with office computer applications
  • Prior experience supervising
  • Time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Working knowledge on SAP will be an added advantage.
Service Desk Officer

HR/SDO/04/2/2012.

The purpose of the job is to be the first point of contact of computer users with the ICT department

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide user support and problem resolution at first line and/or escalating to second line support
  • Accurately record and track calls with internal support teams and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Liaise with other IT Unit staff as appropriate to achieve excellence in overall ICT service delivery.
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure the support and reliability of all IT systems
  • Provide users with tips on how to work more efficiently and how to resolve common problems
  • Contribute to technical quality management, and update documentation of all current systems, and any new systems implemented.
  • Contribute to the continuity, validity and reliability of all servers, storage, communications and networking Infrastructure.
  • As directed, implement server/client patches and system software upgrades.
  •  Monitor compliance with policies and procedures and report on the same to Service Delivery Manager
  • Contribute to the updating of all procedures and projects undertaken by the ICT department
  • Support and maintain all ICT hardware and software around the desktop environment
  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
The Candidate Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field from a recognized Institution.
  • ITIL certification as a Professional Qualification.
Experience

• 1 to 2 years experience with at least 1 year in a similar capacity level in a busy environment

Skills
  • Familiarity with network computer applications – WAN, LAN, Email Infrastructure,
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server and Outlook client
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server/desktop
  • VPN and remote access technologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
