Kenya. 

Since its inception in 1974, the Sacco’s mandate has been to improve the socio-economic wellbeing of workers in the power, energy, utility and other sectors including small and micro entrepreneurs.

We are seeking to recruit, dynamic, innovative, energetic, self motivated and experienced persons to fill
the following positions:

Branch Manager

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the holder of this position will among others be responsible for:

Job Summary

The Job holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the branch.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administering and interpreting the Sacco policies and procedures
  • Implementing and promoting Society products and services
  • Monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of all transactions in the branch.
  • Monitoring the branch liquidity status.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient customer service delivery and in particular ensure compliance with Society’s Customer Service Charter
  • Ensuring security of employees, cash and other Society resources at the branch.
  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements in execution of branch operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational, safety and health requirements.
  • Liaising with the departmental heads and other relevant stakeholders on issues relating to the branch.
Key Qualification
  • KCSE Grade B.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business related field, Banking or Finance preferred.
  • Certified professional banker or other related professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Previous experience of working with an ERP system preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience at supervisory level in the banking sector.
  • A person of integrity, team player with effective communication skills.
Branch Credit Officer

Reporting functionally to the Credit Manager and administratively to the Branch Manager the holder of this position will among others be responsible for:

Job Summary

The Job holder will be responsible for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of all loan processes and procedures at the Branch.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the loan processing activity at the branch.
  • Appraising and advising members on loan eligibility.
  • Advising members on loan approval status.
  • Ensuring completeness of loan application forms and adequacy of information provided.
  • Ensuring compliance of loan procedures as per SASRA and other legal requirements.
  • Generating periodical loan reports for the branch as may be required.
  • Advising on the adequacy of the loan appraisal tools available.
Key Qualifications:
  • KCSE Grade B-.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business related field.
  • Post graduate Diploma in Micro Finance and or Certified Credit Management will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • 3 years relevant experience at supervisory level, preferably in the financial sector.
  • A person of integrity, team player with effective communication skills.
Customer Relations Assistant

3 positions

Reporting to the Fosa Operations Officer, the holder of this position will among others be responsible for:

Job Summary

The Job holder will be responsible for managing the banking hall and handling customer queries.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carrying out funds transfer instructions.
  • Attending to customers issues.
  • Handling customers correspondences
  • Performing Teller duties as appropriate.
  • Receiving and processing ATM card applications.
  • Placement of Standing Orders.
Key Qualifications
  • KCSE Grade C+
  • Bachelors Degree in banking or business related field.
  • Diploma in business management or Banking will be an added advantage.
  • Previous telling experience will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • 2 year’s relevant experience in a busy office.
  • Customer handling skills.
  • A person of integrity, team player with effective communication skills.
Accounts Assistant

2 positions

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to Finance Manager, the holder of this position will be responsible for:
  • Obtaining on a daily basis, the statements of the Sacco’s accounts in favour of which standing orders and or direct debits are effected.
  • Ensuring all entries in the bank statements have been entered in the cash books.
  • Updating list of non-check off members and ensure their remittances are monitored daily.
  • Updating lists of standing orders, direct debits, and any other forms of remittances outside the Check-off system.
  • Monitoring the non check -off customers.
  • Producing relevant reports in respect of non-check off customers.
  • Producing monthly direct debit and standing order reports.
  • Undertaking control accounts reconciliations.
  • Raising journal entries, adjustments, corrections and any necessary amendments to the accounts as may be required.
Key Qualifications
  • KCSE Grade C+
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or accounting.
  • CPA III or ACCA III.
  • 2 years relevant experience.
  • A person of integrity, team player and with effective communication skills.
Administrative Assistant

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the holder of this position will be responsible for:

Job Summary

To offer professional service to internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Being in charge of the administrative and secretarial roles for the branch.
  • Organizing management and board meetings.
  • Handling corporate visitors.
  • Managing correspondences at the Branch.
  • Managing branch filling system.
  • Ensuring proper housekeeping of the branch premises.
Key Qualifications
  • KCSE: C+
  • Bachelors’ Degree in business related field, Secretarial Studies preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Must have experience in public relations
  • A person of integrity, team player and with effective communication skills.
  • Report writing skills will be mandatory for the position.
