The Company
 

Del Monte Kenya Limited wishes to fill existing vacancy for the position of Senior Financial Accountant.

He or she will join a high achieving management team, in our Finance Department.
 

The Job
 

Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, the person will be responsible for: -

• Processing all manual journals and facilitate month-end financial close and year end procedures.
• Maintain General ledger chart of account and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare Company Monthly & Annual Financial Statements and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS, GAAP and internal policies.
• Managing TREO, Insurance Capital assets ,VAT and Invoicing functions.
• Review Material usage, Labour and Equipment costing.
• Account reconciliation with strict adherence to compliancy with financial reporting and procedures (Sarbanes – Oxley-section 404).

The Person
 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: -
 

Essential

• Aged 30 - 35 years.
• Must have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• A qualified Accountant with CPA (K) or ACCA.
• 5 years relevant experience preferably in a Manufacturing and Agriculture environment.
• The ability to work meticulously and accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to operate with minimum supervision.
• A flexible approach and an ability to work within a team.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft suite and experience in Financial ERP system.
