Human Resource Assistant

Job profile
 
The Human Resource Assistant will assist in the overall execution of duties to be performed in the Human Resources Department.
 
He/She will assist in the maintenance of the human resource database and all employee records and files. Completes assigned reporting functions involving attendance  statistics, manpower requirements, termination, and other information assigned.
 
Assist in informing new employees of human resource policies and programs as needed.
 
Performs general office support functions and assists as necessary.

Job Description
  • Assisting the HR Manager in formulating HR policies.
  • Assisting in recruitment - placing adverts, scheduling candidates for interviews and helping in selecting the ideal candidates.
  • Inducting and Orienting new employees.
  • Maintaining a data base of all current employees and all their personnel details.
  • Ensure all staff have a job profile including job description.
  • Manage and harmonize staff annual leaves, sick leaves and maternity leave.
  • Maintain a proper data of manpower requirements in all departments.
  • Reporting to the Human Resource manager all disciplinary issues in the factory and advising on the appropriate actions to be taken.
  • Ensuring that all employees have N.S.S.F, NHIF and PIN numbers.
  • Compiling attendance schedules for all employees in the factory
  • Facilitating proper and timely communication between the HR department and the employees.
Requirements
  • Should posses a degree in BCom / BBA in Human resources Management from a recognized institution or Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage.
  • Should have 1-2 years work experience in the related field and especially so in the Appraisal process (added advantage).
  • She should be aged between 26 years and above.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of HRM functions. 
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple priorities and time frames.
  • Capacity to give a fast determination with any decision making situation.
  • Analytic problem solving and effective decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
