Job Summary:
 
Concern Kenya has adopted the socially transformative Community Conversations (CC) approach that involves facilitating communities to analyze complex socio-cultural issues associated with community development. 

The incumbent will develop the technical capacity of Concern, Partner LNGO and Government staff in CCs including development, review and updating of CCs training manual and guidelines, quality assurance and direct monitoring of CCs in Concern’s programmes.
 
Person Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in community development, social sciences or any other relevant field or
  • Diploma in community development, social sciences or any other relevant field and at least three years’ experience in implementing community projects
  • Minimum two years’ experience in applying participatory approach to development, experience in Community Conversations is an added advantage
  • Must be a Trainer of Trainer in participatory and adult learning techniques
  • Must have a working knowledge of Project Cycle Management
  • Good computing and report writing skills
  • Strong leadership, communication and management skills
  • Able to demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness
  • Be able to work independently, as well as in a team
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili
