Position: Finance Manager 
 
The Organisation: Our client is a multinational organisation, headquartered in Europe and with operations across Europe, Americas, Asia Pacific, Middle East, India and Africa. 

The organisation manufactures, sells and distributes decorative paints and performance coatings, for both interior and exterior purposes. 
 
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Country Manager, this position holds the role as the Head of Finance, with both Financial and Business support responsibility within the organisation.

It is also responsible for establishing a culture of profitable revenue growth for the region through timely, accurate and insightful financial and business information and analysis.

Key Results Areas

  • Act as a business partner by providing market insights and analysis to the Country Manager and by advising him on Jotun Kenya's growth plans.
  • Ensure proper books of accounts are maintained as per Group accounting policy and in line with IFRS requirements.
  • Prepare, summarize and coordinate forecasts, budgets and strategies for the company.
  • Responsible for credit control and treasury management, as well as for monitoring cash flow and ensuring optimum utilization of working capital.
  • Responsible for ensuring internal and external requirements are met by preparing and adhering to company procedures.
  • Responsible for non-technical IT management and coordination with regional and corporate IT.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper books of accounts are maintained as per Group accounting policy and in line with IFRS
  • Drive the focus of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Identify and address potential corrections to improve profitability. Raise red flags whenever needed.
  • Business partnering by providing insights and analysis to management.
  • Credit control and Treasury management
  • Ensure that taxes, VAT, social security and other requirements are as per local regulations
  • Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audit and adhere to Group deadline
  • Ensure adequate internal control procedures established and maintained
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reports, that provide insightful information for decision making
  • Drive the strategy process
  • Review cash flow and prepare short term and long term prognosis
Education & Experience
  • A Bachelors degree in Finance or business related subject.
  • CPA (K)
  • Four to Six (4-6) years of experience in a Finance related position.
  • Knowledge and experience of Information Technology systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with IFS and ERP systems is essential.
