MSH seeks to recruit a highly motivated and result oriented individual to join a dynamic team in its effort to focus on strengthening the Center for Pharmaceutical Management (CPM’s) portfolio of pharmaceutical management under the HCSM (Health Commodity Services Management).
 
Senior Technical Advisor, Commodity Information Systems
 
The Senior Technical Advisor, Commodity Information Systems (STA/CIS) works under the Senior MIS advisor and is responsible for supporting initiatives to improve commodity management at both central and county levels. 

The STA/CIS will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of MSH/HCSM information tools in support of commodity management working with both central and county level staff to ensure their optimal deployment and use. 

As required, the STA/CIS will liaise with the HCSM portfolio leads and teams to identify and implement relevant interventions for strengthening pharmaceutical and laboratory systems and support commodity data acquisition and management to enhance information use for decision-making at all levels.
 
S/He will work directly with the Ministry of Health counterparts and other stakeholders to design and develop approaches for improving management information systems in support of health commodity supply chains and provide leadership in the provision of accurate and timely strategic information.

Qualifications
 
Degree in Pharmacy, medicine, laboratory, health sciences or related field and 3 years related professional experience. 

Additional qualifications or certification in computer sciences or MIS will be a distinct advantage.
 
S/he needs to have experience with computerized system development, implementation & capacity building and relevant experience in of overseeing entire product development and implementation of systems. 

The candidate needs to have demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing, Business Intelligence and data visualization considerations, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis (both qualitative and quantitative).
 
S/he should have skills in designing, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic tools and programs, Knowledge of Public Health Systems in Kenya will be a great plus. 

The successful candidate needs to be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal, facilitation, relationship-building, negotiating and influencing skills. 

S/he should work with minimal supervision under tight timelines and be able to support cross technical teams.
