Our client is an international association which represents the interests of international partners on the continent of Africa. 

The mission of the association is to facilitate effectiveness, communication, collaboration and professional development.
 
They are searching for a highly motivated and self-driven candidate to fill in the following position:
 
Networking and Communications Coordinator
 
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Networking and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for all communications, program and service information, networking and public relations messages and materials to consistently articulate the organization’s mission to our membership and wider public. 

The post holder will ensure that the association is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of up‐to‐date information. 

The post holder will also provide event coordination services for all organization’s professional events.

Principal Duties / Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Handle communications to the association via personal and general mailing lists relating to the programs and services of the association.
  • Ensure member and client satisfaction and retention through timely response to complaints, concerns, and requests for information on association’s programs & services, policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Process & Monitor the association’s membership applications and assist in actively recruiting new membership, sponsorships, and managing these relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality, tact, sensitivity, and expedite referrals appropriately to other staff members for resolution with expediency.
  • Track and measure the level of engagement within the association’s network over time
  • Work with the association’s Publications Coordinator to manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic materials including, but not limited to, newsletters (including advertising), directories, programs, brochures, association’s website and the association’s annual report.
  • Manage all media contacts
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Executive Director.
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing & Communications
  • Above 5 years of experience
  • Be sensitive and aware of the association’s diverse and multicultural community.
  • Must have exemplary networking and communication skills (most important)
