Technical & Marketing Representative - East Africa

Reporting to the East Africa Area Regional Manager, the Technical & Marketing Representative will develop & promote an effective range of products in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) in line with defined strategy.

The candidate will be under the responsibility of:
  • EA Area Manager (subsidiary level)
  • Africa Technical & Marketing Managers (South Africa)In relation to:
  • Local subsidiaries, distributors, growers, researchers, ministries (subsidiary/regional level)
  • Technical & Marketing Southern and Eastern Africa department responsible for the subsidiary’s operations and achievement of the targets.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Regulatory: Take care of the ongoing technical projects Registration dossiers submission to the ministry of agriculture (PCPB), follow-up, negotiation until the registration.
  • Development: Planning and launching (protocols, price quotation, field visits, etc)
  • Marketing: - Obtain the Market data collection & analysis (crops, competitors, market values)- Prepare communication program & budget, sales supports, - Organize products/countries/distributors launching (Development contracts)
  • Organization: Be the referent for the head of Southern and Eastern Africa region.
  • Sales: Development of sales on big estates in Kenya and in North Tanzania (coffee, flowers, barley and wheat).

Business Manager- Tanzania

Position: Medical Officer / Assistant Research Officer

Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) / Walter Reed Project, HIV Program Kericho carries out HIV/AIDS research and provide care and treatment to persons affected in the South Rift Valley region. 

We are seeking to recruit a qualified person to fill the above vacant position.

Main Duties:
  • Conduct HIV related research and manage clinical trial participants.
  • Carry out educational programs on HIV/AIDS within the community.
  • Assist in carrying out various protocol training activities.
  • Maintain a safe working environment with appropriate training of other personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with GCP and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Submit reports as may be required.
  • Represent KEMRI/WRP Kericho in scientific meetings.
  • May be called upon to act as a principal investigator or co-investigator for KEMRI / USAMRU-K research protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; CH.B). Possession of MPH in addition to M.B; CH.B is an added advantage.
  •  Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
  • Previous experience in medical/clinical research and good knowledge of HIV / AIDS are added advantages.

Reporting to the National Emergency Coordinator, the Drought Emergency Manager will provide expertise, guidance, and leadership in drought cycle management throughout the stages of response, recovery and in building resilience of communities and households to drought. 

He/she will participate in the design and management of Emergency projects including assessment, planning, monitoring of conditions, evaluation of response activities and also ensure compliance with CARE’s policies and procedures, donor rules and regulations and CARE’s Humanitarian Accountability Framework.
