The Role

Ensure that country security strategies are developed, implemented, monitored and reviewed consistently with Oxfam policies and standard and requirement.

To provide efficient security and safety support to the Regional Office with regard to its programs in Somalia and Kenya through information collection and analysis, security advise and staff movement tracking.

The Person
  • Considerable practical experience security assessment, planning and implementation of procedures in the context of UN or NGO humanitarian operations. 
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills with internal and external audience including in complex and stressful circumstances.
  • Bachelor degree in Arts, Social Sciences, or any related field. 
  • However, a diploma backed by strong relevant technical experience will also be considered. 
  • Any relevant security management or intelligence training. 3 years relevant experience, preferably in a security management environment. 
  • Strong analytical as well as administrative skills. 
  • Willingness to travel within short notice, and often in difficult circumstances

Project Summary: 

The objective of our project is to provide primary and secondary level of health care to the Refugees in Dagahaley refugee camp.  MSF provides a full package of medical care through 4 primary health care units and 1 hospital (100 beds) with 24 hour emergency and OT.

Health services include curative, preventative, nutritional activities and emergency preparedness and intervention with partners.

Main Tasks:

  • Responsible for management of day to day operations and efficient coordination of nutrition program activities in the project

  • Provide insights to clients on the direction of mCommerce and the direction of digital channels to further influence the client’s digital strategy.
Client Awareness;
  • Be responsible for understanding the clients’ organization and structure, their digital strategy and related budget & KPI’s

Project Management;

The Kibera Fund: The Kibera Fund was established through a partnership with Comic Relief - a UK based public fundraising organization with the objective of supporting local initiatives that seek to alleviate poverty and improve the economic, social and health situations of vulnerable people living in Kibera and other informal settlements in Nairobi.
 
KCDF seeks to partner with organizations working in informal settlements (slums) to implement
interventions that:
  • improve the well-being of families, particularly child-headed and single parent households;
  • improve the status and safety of women and the girl child;
  • promote preventative health care;
  • promote employment, entrepreneurship and Youth development;
  • promote access to water and sanitation;
  • promote arts and culture initiatives for people living in the slums;
