K-Rep Development Agency (KDA), which is a microfinance institution that develops and tests appropriate financial services for low-income people.
We are soliciting for qualified persons for the positions below, for our low-cost housing project funded by SIDA and co-ordinated by CSUDP (Civil Society Urban and Development Program);

IT Officer (1 Post)

Reporting to the Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities will be:
  • Manages quality of company-wide IT infrastructure,
  • Repair and maintain IT software and hardware,
  • Support data entry activities for loan processing,
  • Build expertise in online peer-to-peer lending with outside funders,
  • Assist in company email services, website and data server
Qualifications, Competencies and Experience
  • A diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution.
  • Must possess qualifications and practical skills in: Networking Qualification (Windows server), Exchange Mail server, Ms Navision, SQL server Administration Hardware and Software maintenance,
  • Should be able to work well without supervision, have good communication skills and a team player.
  • Professional certification will be an added advantage e.g. MCSE,N+

Technical Officer (1 Post)

Reports to General Manager

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering or a construction related discipline,
  • Proficiency in computer applications (MS office and MS projects),
  • Minimum 3 years experience in actual construction of building & civil engineering projects,
  • Have hands-on experience in BOQ, designing tendering procedures and training on construction and Project supervisory role, is desired.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body will be an added advantage
Chief Accountant (1 Post)

Reports to General Manager

The chief accountant is responsible for directing and overseeing the financial activities/ functions of the company including presentation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future periods.

Main Responsibilities of Chief Accountant
  • Review of the debtor statements, inventory listing, creditors listing, bank reconciliations, fixed assets register, payroll, tax returns, expense schedules and all other components in the financial statements,
  • Ensuring that the financial statements are complete and accurate,
  • Providing value added recommendations to management on matters such as cost reduction, improving efficiency, effective use of resources, improving staff productivity and finalizing the year end audit with the auditors
Key Competencies and Skills of Chief Accountant
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections,
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills,
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality reports within tight deadlines,
  • Excellent knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards Auditing,
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of computerized accounting systems e.g. Navision
Required Qualifications of Chief Accountant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance Option),
  • 3 to 5 years experience in accounting department,
  • Professional Qualification CPA (K)
