Our mission is to help media brands, organizations, associations and individuals become indispensable sources of information to their constituencies. Mondeas media products includes the UP magazine and Kenya concierge.

Due to the fact growth of our company, we are recruiting for the position of a Sales and Marketing Manager.

Position Description:

The Sales and marketing serves as the primary business contact for the existing client and are responsible for client satisfaction. The S&M is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to ALL and NEW accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.

In addition, the S&M should build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. It is the ultimate duty of the S &M to provide brand, marketing and custom media development strategies and solutions that grow our clients’ businesses; and in turn, grow our revenues along the lines of specific business growth goals

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.
  • Reviews all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, production briefs and specs, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
  • Ensures that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the Commercial Director or Creative Director of any problems that may arise.
  • Manages the contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing client.
  • Approves Change Orders and invoices, and is responsible for payment collections.
  • Works closely with the project team in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
  • Develops and pursues opportunities for account growth and new business, and involves the directors of the company in the selling process.
  • Develops new channels of business within the context of custom media development.
  • Prices project for clients in accordance with Directors.
  • Drafts all strategic client documents for Directors approval.
  • Communicates the client's goals and represent the client's interests to the team.
  • Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
  • Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
  • Updates and keeps current all sales and marketing materials.
  • Manages overall budget of his unit and team and provides regular project reports as required.
  • Reports to the Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.
Key Accountabilities
  • Achieving set departmental budget targets;
  • Achieving set sales and development targets;
  • Monthly reports on departmental activity and performance;
  • Weekly individual workplans and call reports;
  • Meeting set deadlines and goals as set by Sr. Management;
Desirables
  • 3-5 year experience in Media sales
  • Go getter, innovative, aggressive and results oriented person
  • University degree or equivalent in sales and marketing
  • Has experience in Media sales
