Oloolaiser Water and Sewerage Company is a water service provider mandated to provide efficient and effective water and sewerage services within Ongata Rongai and Ngong Divisions of Kajiado North District.

The Company wishes to recruit dynamic, self motivated, suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions:

1. Commercial Manager
(1 Post)

Reporting to the Managing Director the Commercial Manager will head the Commercial Department and ensure the growth of the business through effective marketing, sales strategies and sustained superior customer service culture

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directing, coordinating and managing the Company’s commercial operations and ensuring growth of the business through effective marketing, sales strategies and a sustained a superior customer service culture
  • Developing departmental strategies, policies and plans to facilitate achievement of overall company’s objectives
  • Training, developing and motivating departmental staff
  • Supporting various departmental interfaces to improve overall company performance efficiency as a market driven organization
  • Developing new pro-poor products and services
  • Develop pricing strategy, monitor it on quarterly basis and make recommendations to the Managing Director
  • Definition and establishment of commercial procedures
  • Ensuring timely, complete and accurate update of consumer database and billing of services and subsequent collections to achieve the overall company revenue objectives and targets
  • Developing customer service policies and implementing the same after approval
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Commerce/Economics/Business Administration from a recognized institution
  • Possession of CPA(K) or its equivalent an added advantage
  • Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Have a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess a logical and analytical approach to investigation, identification, analysis and reporting
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in a commercial oriented organization of which one year should have been in a senior level
2. Internal Auditor
(1 Post)

Reporting to the Managing Director administratively and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board, the Internal Auditor will be responsible for the Audit, Monitoring and Evaluation functions

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement annual audit plans in consultation with the audit committee and management
  • Issue periodic reports on a timely basis to the audit committee and management, summarizing the results of audit activities
  • In consultation with the audit committee and management, develop appropriate internal audit manual for the company
  • Keep the audit committee informed of the emerging trends and developments in internal auditing practices relevant to the objects of the organisation and give recommendations for required revision in the Internal Audit Manual
  • Ensure the company complies with sound internal auditing principles and best practices
  • Exercise due professional care, integrity and objectivity in carrying out audit assignments
  • Oversee the design and implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation system of the company
  • Carry our special assignments on audit from time to time
  • Develop in liaison with the Board and Management the Company Risk Policy Framework
Requirements
  • Must possess a first degree in any business related or social areas
  • Must posses a CPA(K) or any other professional accounting qualification
  • Membership of a professional body e.g. ICPAK or equivalent
  • Must have at least 3 years post qualification experience of which at least one year must be at senior level
  • Thorough knowledge of government Financial Management and Public Procurement Procedures
  • Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Have a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess a logical and analytical approach to investigation, identification, analysis and reporting
  • Computer literate
