Sarakasi Trust was established in 2001 in response to the need for further development and growth in the cultural and performing arts sector. The organization plays an important role in demonstrating the entrepreneurial possibilities of arts and culture for economic empowerment and development.

The Hospital Project is a special project under Sarakasi Trust that offers an edutainment program for vulnerable children and youth in hospitals and rehabilitation institutions. The aim is to bring about a holistic approach towards the healing and rehabilitation process that encourages a positive awareness of illness and raises the level of self-esteem for hospitalised children.

To date, the program runs in 2 public hospitals, a day care centre for physically and mentally challenged children, a juvenile remand home and youth correction/rehabilitation centres.

To prepare for its expansion the Hospital Project is seeking an individual who has an interest in arts and culture, a passion for excellence and is willing to work in a multicultural environment to fill the position of Administration Manager.

Key Responsibilities
·       Proposal writing and corresponding with potential/current sponsors of the project.
·       Developing fundraising strategies for the project.
·       Networking and raising additional funds for the project as per approval of the management.
Other Responsibilities:
·       Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures as set by the management.
·       Liaison between Sarakasi Trust Administration and the Sarakasi Trust Hospital Project.
·       Management of daily administrative tasks.
·       Coordination of staff matters as; planning staff meetings, workshops / trainings and staff leave days.
·       Preparing reports e.g. annual narrative reports, monitoring reports, newsletters etc.
·       Monitoring of the projects financial budgets.
Knowledge and Experience
·       Proven experience in proposal writing and fundraising.
·       Minimum of 2 years experience working with vulnerable children and youth within the NGO sector, with a proven track record.
·       Knowledgeable in various marketing and communication strategies.
·       Computer literate and experienced with MS Office Suite, Adobe and Publisher.
·       Familiar and experienced in the protection of child rights programming.
·       Has good communication and interpersonal skills to ensure improved team performance.
·       Candidates experienced in working with organizations centred on development through arts and culture will have an added advantage.
