Background

Friends Church Sabatia Eye Hospital is the leading Not-for–Profit Eye Hospital in the Western Part of Kenya. We serve a population of over 15milion people in the former Western, Nyanza and parts of Rift Valley Provinces.

We offer various eye services at the base hospital. We run an outreach programme within the catchment area. We offer training for various eye care workers for the country and beyond.

In order to meet the growing demand for eye care services, the Hospital wishes to fill the following positions.

1. Grants Officer

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences or Health Sciences,
  • Minimum CPA/CPS Part II;
  • At least three years of proven experience in monitoring and evaluation or grants management in a reputable organization;
  • Certificate in M&E or project management will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience in working within short deadlines;
  • Proven experience with statistical applications and data analysis; familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative information analysis tools.
2. Training Coordinator

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Customer Care, Social Sciences or Education
  • At least 2 years experience in a busy marketing environment in a training institution or in partnership development with NGOs
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation will be required both for training and customer service delivery
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent computer skills and office applications
3. Accountant

Qualifications
  • Possess CPA(K) qualification or equivalent with 2 to 3 years experience in a busy accounting department Or
  • CPA(K) plus Business Degree in Accounting or Finance with less or no experience
  • Experience in working with QuickBooks and other computer office applications.
  • High degree of integrity and honesty
4. Nurses (7)

Qualifications
  • Must be KRCHN and registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Must have a Practicing License
  • Those with computer knowledge and counseling experience will have added advantages
  • Priority will be given to those with eye care working experience
