Title: Web Developer

Reports to: Technical Manager
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with web product development and web project management for the team that is responsible for development and maintenance of clients Web sites.
  • Assist in determining assignments, help set priorities, monitor progress, and report on progress in meeting establishing milestones and deadlines.
  • Serve as an advocate for web product development and web project management techniques and best practices.
  • Performing any other duties and responsibilities as shall be bestowed from time to time.
Job Specifications:
  • A mature and ethical individual with high level of demonstrated commitment  – “GBC hires character and trains skills”
  • Minimum age of 28 years
  • The incumbent will poses the following knowledge and expertise: HTML, CSS, JS (jQuery, MooTools, Dojo, ExtJs etc), PHP, XML, ActionScript 3.0 and MySQL Databases and general proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SEO and website security with insight into the latest development in SEO and website security tools is mandatory
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills, innovative thinker and motivated person who are results oriented.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving and team player
  • Must have a degree or Diploma in Information technology or Computer Science
  • Must have an understanding of software functionality as well as graphic design skills to create successful Web pages.
  • Quick learner, ability to learn new technologies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality work.
  • Strong analytical skills.
