Job Title: Retail Sales Manager Tanzania - Oil & Gas Industry

Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for the achievement of business targets in his assigned region which include revenue, collection, product coverage, customer numbers and volume growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Management of People
 
Provides overall supervision to the activities and employees of the Retail Sales Department and assigned region. 
 
2. Strategic Planning
 

Prepares a strategic sales plan for the assigned region and sends to the General Manager for negotiation and approval. 

Monitors trends in the market and recommends adjustments as required.
 
3. Annual Sales Planning
 
Develops and obtains approval for the annual sales plan for the assigned region. 

This includes discussion and negotiation of quantity, the nature of various schemes the staff incentive policy, marketing budgets, resources and manpower. 

Prepares forecast for products.

4. Sales Targets
 
Achieves the agreed sales targets. 

Assigns territories to sales team according to identified potential and the routes for sales team. 

Monitors route adherence and sales on a daily basis. 

Makes visits to key customers to maintain the relationships and to ensure consistent sales.

5. New Products and Services
 
Launches and manages the achievement of sales targets for new products. 

Carries out market studies, builds the business case and obtains approval. 

Obtains marketing support and arranges / coordinates the product launch.

6. Market Intelligence
 
Gathers regular information on the market, particularly competitors 

Skills:
  • 7 years Marketing Manager experience in Oil & Gas Industry in Tanzania
  • Degree in Business and Marketing discipline
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience implementing branding and communication strategies
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Project and program management
  • Commercial awareness
  • Build and maintain Company Brand
  • Relationship management
  • Customer orientation and relationship building skills
