Competition for the Design of the County Flag, Coat of Arms and the County Public Seal
Pursuant to the County Government Act 2012 part 1 section 4 (2), Every County Government shall develop the Symbols of the county through a consultative process for approval by the County assembly by legislation.

In line with this, the county Government of West Pokot invites the members of the public, private firms and institutions in designing of the County Flag, Coat of arms and the county public seal.
 

The competition shall be in the following categories and shall be rewarded as follows.

1. County Flag 

• Winner - Ksh.35,000
• 1st Runner up - Ksh. 10,000
• 2nd Runner up - Ksh. 5,000

2. County Coats of Arms and County Public Seal

• Winner - Ksh. 35,000
• 1st Runner up - Ksh. 10,000
• 2nd Runner up - Ksh. 5,000

When designing the said symbols, the designer must take note of the provision of section 4(4) which states that, a county symbol shall not be in the same as, or bear a likeness or similarity to a national symbol.

The submission of the proposed symbols in hard copy as well as a soft copy on the common software design programme with a resolution of 300 pixels and scale of 2.25”x2.43” and sent to the undersigned by 21 August 2013.
