Applications are invited for the following vacant positions:-

Region Head

2 Positions
 
Purpose of the position: To provide the overall management and administration of the WCK Region office and its facilities

Major Roles & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall  management of the Region office and its facilities
  • Ensure effective  smooth running of the Educational programmes
  • Manage budgets for projects and educational programmes;
  • Plan, Coordinate and organize the centre’s  operational activities and its related  services
  • Preparing applications for funding and grants on behalf of the organisation
  • Ensure the timely and effective implementation of all project interventions
  • Promote and market the regions centre
  • Ensure the timely and appropriate utilization of budgeted resources
  • Ensure effective communication with WCK members, clients, communities, contractors and suppliers.
  • Provide effective leadership to the region’s office staff
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum university degree in Environmental Sciences on related fields i.e. Natural Resources & Wildlife Management.
  • A diploma in business management
  • Minimum 5 years experience gained in environmental management related fields 
  • Excellent computer, marketing & financial management skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal  and presentation skills
  • Have a valid driving license
Required Competencies:
  • Education programmes management skills
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt and manage new changes into the programmes
  • Must have skill in taking initiative, thinking creatively and working collaboratively
  • Must have skills in project  management
  • Fund raising skills
  • Must be Commitment and enthusiasm for environmental conservation and sustainable development
  • Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her
NB: The candidate should be willing to work in any part of the republic of Kenya.
