Cummins Cogeneration On-Site Project Manager Job in Kenya

Cummins Cogeneration (Kenya) Ltd (CCKL) is a special purpose vehicle set up to establish biomass based power plants in Kenya and across Sub-Saharan Africa.

CCKL’s 8.4 MW Marigat based plant is under construction and the company is working on 5 additional opportunities in Kenya.

Job Specification
 

The person filling the position must have the following skills and background:

• Great communication (Verbal and Written), leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in challenging conditions with multidisciplinary team
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and focus on quality
• Proficient in budgeting and financial planning
• Positive attitude, high productivity and ability to multi-task
• A Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical and/or mechanical engineering. A postgraduate degree in construction management is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction projects, part of which must have been as a Project Manager / Resident Engineer.
• Good understanding of site design and development, concrete works, MEP building systems and pre-engineered Buildings.
• Conversant and experienced in using industry standard software, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Working knowledge of Kenyan legal, building, quality and safety standards

Job Description
 

The On-Site Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, control and daily site supervision to ensure that projects are completed meeting CCKL’s set quality, quantity, timeline, safety and budget.
