The Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) is established as a State Corporation under the State Corporation Act Cap 446 to discharge the following mandates:
  • Promote and Market Conference Tourism locally and internationally;
  • Monitor the quality and standard of conference facilities and advice both private and public investors on improvement of such facilities;
  • Plan and implement the expansion and modernization of existing conference facilities and develop new ones; and
  • carry out any other mandate relevant to its principal mandate.
KICC is in the process of recruiting suitable persons and invites applications for the posts indicated below:

i. Applicants should be computer literate accounting systems.

ii. Applicants should be self driven, highly motivated, energetic and team players.

iii. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

iv. Applicants should be aged between 35 and 46 years of age.

General Manager Finance and Administration

Description of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing internal control procedures and production of reports on all financial transactions and establishing a sound budgetary system.
  • Coordinating the establishment of sound financial policies, systems and procedures in compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Participating in the preparation of Finance, Human Resource and ICT’s Strategic (and operational) plans and forecasts.
  • Coordinating divisional activities; provides responsible advice and counsel to the Corporation on a variety of financial and administrative issues; oversees the maintenance of Corporations records and files; administers liability claims and insurance programs.
  • Managing the organization’s movable and immovable assets
  • Managing information technology support services for the Corporation, installation, maintenance and upgrade of both mainframe and network based applications pursuant to an information technology master plan; through user groups and other means, exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity through user friendly information technology enhancements.
  • Performing other related work as required and assigned by the Managing Director from time to time.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate will:
  • Possess an MBA in Finance or its equivalent
  • Possess a Bachelors degree in Commerce/Business Administration
  • Qualification as CPA (K) will be an added advantage.
  • Sound Knowledge of Human Resource Management and Public Procurement Act and regulations.
  • Possess business planning and budgeting experience, and be able to work under pressure, meet targets and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Have at least eight (8) years working experience, three (3) of which must be in a similar position.
  • CPS(K) an added advantage
