Assistant Marketing Manager Job in Kenya

Job holder: reports to Marketing Manager

Travel involved: 30% within Nairobi and occasionally outside Nairobi

Job location: Nairobi

Age: 25 - 35yrs

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Planning, implementing and coordinating of marketing activities.
• Involved in the advertisement and Promotions of the company which will involve:

1. editing and publication of the company’s newsletters,
2. coordinate with the sales team in organizing for exhibitions and road shows

• Carry out the Public Relations functions in the company and plan for any company event
• Management and oversee of the company’s website by making sure it is up-todate.
• Coordinating Marketing Researches that will involve:

1. specifying marketing segments
2. monitor competition activities
3. SWOT analysis

• Manage customer relations, feedback and monitoring customer needs and habits.
• Coordinate with the sales team to facilitate functions such as organizing for exhibitions and handling of events
• Submit weekly and monthly reports on the marketing activities to the marketing manager.

• Understanding new technologies and applying to marketing principles
• Prefer knowledge in PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Freehand and Dreamweaver, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, QuarkXPress

Preferred Professional Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Marketing or related fields

Number of years of Experience: 2-3 years in an advertising environment and PR

Preferred Educational Qualification: ‘O’ - levels

Salary Range (Kshs) Gross: 50-60K
